6ct nymphs

Nymphs take 6-9 months to sexually mature. The males will mature about a month before the females and gain some beautiful wings. They can’t fly, but they can glide. Once that happens, the males only live about 6 months roughly. The females retain sperm and only need to technically mate once although I’ve seen mine mate more than once. They mate butt to butt. The moms then are pregnant around 60 days. They carry the babies under them for about a month. I’ve seen a few carry the babies for the moms and they aren’t old enough to breed yet themselves. Nymphs can climb walls day 1.

Nymphs are very small and need to be housed in something with very small ventilation holes till they grow bigger.

I have evolved keeping these over the years. From gasketed bins to Vaseline slathered arboreal enclosures now. For awhile they didnt do great. However, when I moved them and changed to a low heat 15w uva/uvb bulb combined with the extra airflow they have done so so much better. I also have a small fan from reptizoo that blows into the enclosure from the top. I mist them in the morning and night. When the soil seems to dry out I will moisten it again. But the fine misting spray over the branches and sides have worked way better too. These guys eat bee pollen and fish flakes. I do give them cucumber slices which they seem to love.

Bark flats laid against each other but with gaps are great. Lichen sticks they love and cork tubes. Mine dont understand the assignment and they hang out behind the cork tube.

As far as temps go that has evolved too. I still try to keep them around 80 but its usually in the upper 70's with the light. I havent gone up in wattage because they have done well with what I have now. Its just enough to give them warmth.

These are hands down the most beautiful roach you’ll ever see. If you are just getting them to have your own colony then 6 is plenty. If you are buying them to start a colony to sell from, I’d recommend you add 6 in again around the 4 month mark of having the first 6. Chose whichever shipping you’d want when they ship.
